Clear all but one fairy and collect mana

  1. Run to the first landing past the save point and wait for the wave of fairies to arrive. Dispatch all but one of them with the wand and collect the mana they drop to refill mana to 100%.
  2. Descend the next set of ramps and hug the north edge of the upper descending path to avoid triggering the 3 addl. fairies.
  3. Ice beam the switch across the gap and equip sword. Be sure not to wand the remaining fairy. Continue to the Administrator tower.
Optimization: You can avoid downing any of the fairies in this step to save some time, but it prevents any chance of a quick-kill on the Scavenger boss.
